Coney Island Hot Dog Sauce

  • 2 Tb butter
  • 1medium onion chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 Tbs chili powder
  • 2 Tbs catsup
  • 2 Tbs brown sugar
  • water

  • Brown the ground beef in butter breaking up with fork as it cooks. Drain excess fat, and add chopped onion. Cook until onion is clarified.
  • Add remaining ingredients, adding a little water to keep sauce moist while cooking. Cook over medium heat 20-30 minutes.
  • Spoon over prepared hot dogs and top with chopped onions if desired.
